With less than a week to celebrate the Class of 2022, the walls of Corpus Christi Senior High School have been busy with preparations to ensure that the event is a success.
However, this particular Graduation, Speech and Prize-Giving Day will be extra special because as coincides with the launch of the school’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations.
Indeed, Corpus Christi Senior High School is bracing for the most important and memorable event in recent memory.
Class of 2022
This will be an emotional farewell for the Class of 2022 from the school which has contributed greatly to their spiritual, moral and academic upbringing over the last three years. The graduating class had some memorable moments in the school which have contributed to the momentum towards the graduation ceremony scheduled for Saturday, the 12th of September, 2022 at the Forecourt of Corpus Christi Senior High School at 9 am.
Let’s recount some exciting moments with the Class of 2022
On the 16th of February, 2022, they welcomed the first batch of students of the Class of 2024 - arguably, the largest class in Corpus Christi SHS's recent history.
Welcoming a class of about 127 students, the Class of 2022 were surely faced with the herculean task of managing one of the largest student population in the school’s history. Nevertheless, they didn’t only manage to take up the goliath-sized task but were able to control and manage their colleagues in fine style.
The Class of 2022 put together the second edition of the annual exhibition on 18th February 2022. Under the theme, “Practicalizing Theories”, they lived up to expectations as various academic theories were made a reality on the day. With the presence of our friends from St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School on campus, the fun that filled the atmosphere was a true reflection of the tireless effort put into the planning by the Class of 2022.
Corpus Christi Senior High School’s 2022 SRC Week Celebration was one of the most anticipated events on the academic calendar and no stone was left unturned to ensure we had the best of celebrations. The Miss CORPSEC pageant, African Day, and Inter-Schools Sports Showdown were definitely exceptional ways to make an indelible mark in the life of the school. An excellent way to climax 3 years of hard work at Corpus Christi Senior High School.
We are certain the results of the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will reflect the commitment and dedication of the Class of 2022 to overstep tasks.
What to expect on Saturday, November 12, 2022
Themed, “Celebrating 25 years of Corpus Christi Senior High School’s achievement: Resourcing the Nation for Development”, the graduation will witness some 66 graduands; 8 Business and Home Economics students each, 14 General Science students and 36 General Arts students bid farewell to Corpus Christi Senior High School and be officially welcomed among the elite alumni of our prestigious school.
Gracing the august ceremony as the Guest of Honour is the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie (Cssp) who would be visiting the school for the very first time after an initially planned visit in 2020 was called off because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr Louis Atsitorme has been named the guest speaker for the occasion who we anticipate will share some thought-provoking pointers on the day’s theme as well as set the Class of 2022 into the next stage of their lives with some great advice.
Also notable among the many proud parents, students, alumni, invited guests expected to be in attendance will be the Paramount Chief of the Nungua Traditional Area, Prof. King Odaifio Welentsi III, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tema-West, Hon. Anna Naa Adukwei Addo and Mr Oliver Ohene-Gyan, a founding member of Corpus Christi School, will be the Chairperson for the event.
